About Show

Cirque du Soleil’s KURIOS Cabinet of Curiosities frames a richly imagined universe where the Seeker believes in an unseen world of wonders housed in a larger-than-life cabinet. Spectators follow as whimsically strange characters, part mechanical, part magical, stir his curiosities to life through poetic, often playful interactions. This touring Cirque du Soleil production draws on acrobatics, theatrical design, and thematic exploration of imagination versus reality. Directed by Michel Laprise, with creative leadership from Chantal Tremblay (Director of Creation), the show features an original score by Raphaël Beau in collaboration with Bob & Bill (Guy Dubuc & Marc Lessard). Choreography by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Yaman Okur further enhances its steampunk aesthetic. Featuring 50 international performers, supported by world-class acrobatic designers and rigging experts, the production unfolds under the purpose-made Big Top at Charco de la Pava in Seville. The Story

A curious inventor known only as the Seeker summons an invisible realm of ideas and aspirations within his expansive curio cabinet. Suddenly, eccentric and benevolent characters emerge from clockwork and wonder, gently upending his orderly world with humor and poetic touches. As each “curio” springs to life before him, boundaries between real and imagined begin to blur. Set in an undefined past, this tale encourages viewers to open their minds, and themselves, to hidden worlds just beyond perception. Will the Seeker embrace these newfound wonders, or retreat into routine?
